Demons will carry away married women dressed in beautiful clothes
Some rural areas of India still follow age-old traditions. They are strange, if not completely strange. They are even asking if they still perform such rituals.
The story started:
It is said that once upon a time ghosts and monsters roamed the village of Pini in the Manikarna Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The ghosts will carry away married women dressed in beautiful clothes. While this is going on, the goddess Lahu Gond has saved the women of this village.
Undressed women:
The women of this village do not wear clothes for 5 days in the month of Chavan to commemorate the event of the destruction of demons by Goddess Lahu Gond. This tradition has continued for centuries. Over time teenage girls have been allowed to wear only one piece of clothing. Padka made of wool is used during this time.
For 5 days the women
In this village do not wear clothes.
None of the men should eat wine and meat.
But the adults remain naked. No one tries to break this tradition as women who dress in violation of this rule face misfortune within a few days. Nowadays, instead of going out naked, women in the village are locked inside the house.
Control for men :
Some restrictions have been imposed not only on women but also on men. During these 5 days of the year no men should eat alcohol and meat. It is believed that if the ritual is not followed properly, the deities will get angry and harm him.
Similarly, it is said that husband and wife should stay away from each other and not smile and talk for these 5 days. The people of this village believe that if they see her smiling and enjoying themselves, the ghost will come back and take the girl away.
😈Bini villagers do not allow any outsider to enter the village during this period. No outsiders can participate in this special ceremony of theirs.😈
